The Strongest Battlegrounds The Strongest Hero (Saitama)

Free S-tier benchmark kit and the best first main in The Strongest Battlegrounds.

The Strongest Hero

The Strongest Hero is the face of The Strongest Battlegrounds and the safest first main for almost every new account. Inspired by Saitama’s fantasy, the kit still plays by the game’s equal-stats rules: shared HP, skill-based M1 chains, wall combos after the fourth hit, and awakening via G. In the August 2026 meta snapshot he sits in S tier alongside Hero Hunter and the exclusive Sorcerer—see PvP Meta Tier List.

Beginner Picks and Getting Started both point here for a reason. Routes are readable, conversion goals are clear, and you are not locked out of high-level play by picking the “tutorial” fighter. Equal stats mean a clean Hero player beats a messy exclusive more often than highlight reels admit.

Unlock and roster status

Free unlock. No Early Access gate, no PlayStation Plus path, no admin whitelist. Compare gated names on Exclusive Characters and the rest of the cast on Full Roster. Sibling kit pages: Hero Hunter, Destructive Cyborg, Blade Master. Hub index: Characters Hub.

Shared combat layer (master this first)

Hero uses the same grammar as every fighter:

  • M1 chain — four hits; the fourth is the conversion pivot for walls, downslams, and many ability links.
  • Dashes — forward, back, and side (see Controls).
  • Block — hold to respect strings; release to punish; details on Blocking and Defense.
  • Wall combo — fourth M1 near a wall, short delay, forward dash—drill on Wall Combo Guide.
  • Awakening — press G when ready. Hero follows special meter and heal rules; do not assume a free full heal on every press. Conversion ideas: Ultimate Combos.

Spend your first week on that list before copying one-shot routes from One-Shot Combos.

How Hero wins rounds

Hero wins by discipline. Neutral is movement plus block plus dash, not only skill cooldowns. Gift fewer wall fourth hits than your opponent. Spend awakening with a plan—confirm a string, then convert—rather than panic-pressing G at half HP with no setup. In multi-attacker piles, know when Burst exists from Burst Guide so you do not waste the only clean escape.

Matchup notes (August 2026 mindset)

  • Vs Hero Hunter forms: track mode changes; do not autopilot the same wall entry if Cosmic or Monster tools change spacing—see Hero Hunter.
  • Vs Sorcerer: exclusive tools warp respect; tighten defense and avoid free walls—access context on Exclusive Characters.
  • Vs A-tier Cyborg / Blade / Martial Artist / Tech Prodigy: punish overextensions; your S label means nothing if you mash into block.
  • Vs B/C kits: force resets; their ceiling is often execution-taxed, not unbeatable.

Practice plan on Strongest Hero

  1. Ten clean M1 strings without dropping the fourth.
  2. Dash direction drills until W+Q / S+Q / A-D+Q stop mixing up.
  3. Fifty wall attempts in a private server until the cinematic convert is consistent.
  4. One awakening session noting duration and skill changes.
  5. Light 1v1 after reading How to Play Ranked.

Only then sample a second free kit from Beginner Picks.

Cosmic-era systems and Hero

Cosmic Update brought Early Access Undying Hero, Character Creator V1, expanded emotes, and 3v3 Elo structure—overview on Cosmic Update. Creator mash-ups can borrow ult flavors, but a stock Hero with clean walls still teaches more than a random mix—see Character Creator. Emotes do not change HP: Emotes and Game Passes.

Play Strongest Hero until the boring layer is automatic. Flashy clips are optional; equal-stats consistency is not.

Common mistakes on Hero

Panic awakening with no follow-up wastes the strongest window in the kit. Holding block forever after your own M1 string invites throws and mix. Forward-dashing every fourth hit when no wall is nearby telegraphs greed. Hopping characters after two losses resets the muscle memory this page exists to build. Fix those habits before you blame matchmaking or the August 2026 tier snapshot.

Copyable session template

Warm up with movement only for five minutes, then walls for ten, then one awakening route for ten, then two public games where you forbid random skill spam. Write one sentence about what leaked. Tomorrow, train only that leak. This loop beats watching ten Strongest Hero montages with zero reps, and it keeps Guides Hub advice attached to real improvement.
